Adfero Announces New Practice Leadership and Hires
Tara Zachariah Joins Adfero as SVP and Energy Practice Lead

WASHINGTON — Adfero, a full-service communications agency based in Washington, today announced that it welcomes Tara Zachariah as Senior Vice President and head of Adfero’s Energy practice.
Tara brings a deep understanding of the sector with more than 10 years of experience collaborating with energy clients. Tara partners with clients to navigate the changing energy landscape, providing expertise in issue advocacy, strategic communications and digital media. For the past decade, Tara has specialized in articulating priorities through persuasive storytelling for energy organizations — including electric utilities, trade associations, climate and clean energy think tanks, advanced nuclear technology companies and solar power manufacturers.
Prior to joining Adfero, Tara served as Vice President at Boundary Stone Partners, where she counseled clients in the energy, clean technology and commercial space sectors. She also worked on behalf of utilities and suppliers at the Nuclear Energy Institute, creating NEI’s first earned, owned and paid content strategy and leading the complete overhaul of NEI.org. The redesigned website was named a finalist alongside Microsoft for the PR News’ 2018 Digital Awards as well as an honoree for the 2019 Webby Awards.
In addition to the new practice leadership, Adfero also announced the hiring of Rebecca McAlexander as Human Resources Manager and Jordan Daniel as Account Executive. Rebecca joins from Northpond Ventures after previously working at Adfero for three years, most recently as Executive Operations Manager. Jordan joins Adfero from ElevenEleven PR in Arlington, Va.
