Jeff Mascott

Ask Adfero founder and CEO Jeff Mascott what it’s like to start a company, and he might tell you it’s a bit like training for a marathon. Both pursuits take discipline, commitment and resilience. But when it comes to running a business, race day doesn’t exist. With each subsequent victory (and the occasional setback), goals become increasingly more ambitious. And if you really want to be successful, you must become energized with each passing mile(stone), not exhausted.

Together with his guiding vision, Jeff’s inexhaustible energy has propelled Adfero forward since he started the company in 2006. Adfero’s core purpose is to create opportunities for people to do what they do best: a goal that becomes more fully realized as the company grows. Over the years, satisfied clients and word-of-mouth buzz have enabled Adfero to evolve and expand, allowing more people to activate their talents and help drive the company’s continued success.

Jeff possesses a unique blend of political experience, business savvy, communications and technology expertise.  Jeff guides Adfero’s strategic planning and serves as an advisor to many of our client accounts. Prior to launching Adfero, Jeff co-founded Fireside 21, a company that creates software that helps legislators keep in close contact with their constituents.

Jeff’s ability to consistently stay ahead of industry trends earned him a spot on PR Week’s “40 Under 40” list. Under his leadership, Adfero has been recognized by PR News as a “Top Place to Work in PR,” was chosen as a finalist for PR Week’s “Boutique PR Firm of the Year,” and was named a Future50 company for emergent growth by SmartCEO in 2013.

A graduate of the University of Maryland, Jeff lives in Chevy Chase with his wife, Jenn, and their four young children. He serves on the board of directors for the Public Affairs Council as well as a board of Sibley Hospital, and was a member of the adjunct faculty at the Georgetown School of Continuing Studies.
