Katie’s parents always say “It’s a good day to be Katie A” – so far they aren’t wrong. From moving to sunny Phoenix, AZ as a Teach for America corps member to winning a national championship in collegiate club lacrosse, Katie’s drive and go-getter attitude is always propelling her to the next goal.
As an account supervisor, Katie’s focus is on finding creative solutions to her clients’ toughest challenges. Her work centers around driving advocacy and awareness campaigns in the health care and real estate space. She develops digital strategies that weave seamlessly with a traditional media relations approach to speak to all audiences. Prior to joining Adfero, Katie managed the digital strategy for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington, the largest non-governmental social services agency in DC. She also spent two years in the classroom teaching 4th graders as a Teach for America corps member.
Katie graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Journalism and Communications, her concentration on Public Relations and a second major in political science.
Little-known fact: Katie’s childhood dream was to play professional basketball in the WNBA. Sadly, her much anticipated growth spurt never came to fruition.
