Jonathan Grella is a clever communicator known for savvy positioning, persuasive messaging, and navigating complex challenges with agility. As Founder of JAG Public Affairs, he has built a reputation for helping organizations cut through noise, strengthen their influence, and stand out in competitive environments. As a Senior Counselor at Adfero, he advises clients in Energy, Health, and Public Affairs on communications strategy and business development.

Throughout his career, Jonathan has played a pivotal role in shaping public perception and policy at the highest levels. He has led communications for major organizations, including as Chief Communications Officer for LIV Golf, Executive Vice President of Public Affairs at the U.S. Travel Association, and Director of Communications for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also drove strategic initiatives to strengthen U.S. energy security as Senior Vice President at Securing America’s Future Energy (SAFE).

Jonathan began his career on Capitol Hill as Press Secretary for the House Majority Leader and the National Republican Senatorial Committee. He later sharpened his skills in agency leadership as Vice President at Edelman, the world’s largest public relations firm.

Known for his sharp instincts, quick wit, and fearless approach to communications, Jonathan is an expert in persuasive messaging, crisis management, and positioning organizations for influence. He holds a Master's in Politics from The Catholic University of America and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Villanova University.

He lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with his wife, son, daughter, and dog.
