Steve Lombardo

Steve Lombardo has been a senior communications leader and advisor to major corporations, organizations, and political candidates for more than 25 years. 

Steve’s areas of expertise include corporate affairs, reputation and brand strategy, public policy/issue management, advertising, and message development and campaign execution for dozens of Fortune 500 companies, industry groups and trade associations.

Most recently, Steve served for more than a decade as Chief Communications & Marketing Officer for Koch Industries, a $130B privately held company.  Prior to that, he was Chairman of the Public Affairs and Crisis Practice at Burson.  Steve has also served in several leadership roles for Edelman Public Relations, as well as ran his own advisory firm, Lombardo Consulting Group. 

Steve started his career working in political campaign politics including work for the campaign of President George H.W. Bush in 1992.  He also contributed to communications activities for the 1996 and 2000 GOP conventions. In 2008, he served as a senior advisor to the Romney for President campaign.

He has been a commentator on business, politics, and media for MSNBC, Fox News, CNN, NPR and network television affiliates across the country.

Steve received his BA degree in Political Science from St. Anselm College in New Hampshire. He was a Graduate Fellow in the Department of Political Science at St. Louis University, where he received his MA in Public Policy and Administration.
