
Steve Roney
Steve is a forward-thinker. Over the course of his career, he has advised and led winning digital campaigns for Fortune 500 companies and industry-leading trade associations across energy, healthcare, agriculture, and consumer goods. His campaigns have moved public opinion, impacted voters, and changed policy at the local, state, and federal levels.
In his role as vice president, Steve leads paid media and digital campaign strategy, employing the latest in digital programmatic ad buying, advanced first-party targeting, and innovative content delivery to reach priority audiences at the correct moment, wherever they are in their online (or offline) journey.
An agency veteran, Steve worked at the Podesta Group, DDC Public Affairs, Edelman, Accenture Federal, and PLUS Communications over his 15-year career prior to joining Adfero.
Steve is a proud 13th generation Bostonian and graduated from the College of William & Mary with a BA in English and History. He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and two kids.
Little-known fact: Before getting into Public Affairs, Steve spent time as a DC sportswriter, covering the Washington Nationals, college football, basketball, and hockey. He’s seen Alex Ovechkin in a towel, sat in on a press conference with Coach K, and had a door slammed in his face by former Nationals Manager Davey Johnson.
